Features of Metaseis
Metaseis has been built from the ground up to give our customers a service that adapts to their exact data needs. From uncovering issues in vintage formats to handling vast volumes of processed data, its flexible and customisable tools are designed to meet unique challenges and keep pace with evolving standards.
Developed in-house by Moveout, Metaseis has been refined over years of real-world use, enabling tailored remastering solutions and continuous improvements.
Java-based and platform-independent, it runs anywhere, anytime - futureproof without the need for porting.
TRANSCRIBE
Metaseis is compatible with both vintage and modern Linux operating systems, enabling the connection of any tape drive regardless of cabling type - from SCSI to FC and SAS.
Read Any Tape As Tap File
In this mode Metaseis reads from tape to disk, irrespective of the data format... SEG-A, SEG-B, SEG-C, SEG-D, SEG-Y, ASCII, EBCDIC, LIS, LAS, Proprietary Formats etc.
The output is a tape image file that can subsequently be decoded into the appropriate format. Essential for reading 9-track tapes. Difficult and damaged tapes can be re-started and run from start to finish in one pass.
